Hey!!!
This week has been incredible. It has been SUPER busy and a little
frustrating at times, but we have seen so many miracles.
On Tuesday of last week, we all went to the mission home in Busan for a
5K/10K run with all the missionaries and the Barrows. It was SO MUCH FUN.
Sister Lee hates running and so we didn't prep much beforehand, which was a
bad idea. I ran the 5K. It was really fun to be around a bunch of the
other missionaries in our zone and one other. However, we were walking
around like grandmas the next day. Super sore. Haven't been running enough
lately.
I had dog soup this week! It was pretty good, but had a little weird taste.
Just as long as I didn't really think about it, it was okay!
We finally met with Linnea again this week! I had an incredible personal
study that morning, and felt strongly that about what we should say and that
we should invite her to baptism. When we met with her at a cafe we just
talked for a while and then went into the lesson. We talked about the
priesthood, Joseph Smith, and prayer. While she said that she had prayed
after our last lesson, she felt super awkward about it. She says she
doesn't feel too comfortable yet addressing Heavenly Father, because she is
not sure if He is there. We talked with her about it, and invited her to
pray to know if these things were true and to connect with God. She said
she would! While we were talking, and I mentioned how the Spirit feels, she
said, "I have this really warm feeling right now. I feel it when I meet
with you. It is almost like I can't speak or am about to cry!" HALLELUJAH.
We told her that was the Spirit and bore our testimonies to her. She said
she loves to hear how much we love the gospel and to hear what we know. I
then asked her to be baptized, but she said she is not sure and doesn't feel
ready. It was good to talk with her about it, though! I think she has that
thought now. We told her after that that we love her and know that God
loves her and just wants to help her. She cried. AHHH, it was just such a
good lesson! The thing that I am worried about now is that she is leaving
in November to go back to Sweden. No time! Oh, well. Hopefully we can
meet with her enough before then to help her be baptized or give her a good
standing to continue in Sweden.
I made a breakfast cake in the rice cooker. It was actually really good!
Now for the miracles. On Saturday we had a branch picnic activity. We were
trying desperately to find investigators to come to that, but didn't have
any until the night before. We were praying so hard and and fasted a lot
for help. We talked to so many people, and then the day before met a random
student on the street that gave us her contact info and then actually
responded and wanted to come! Miracle number 1. One of our other
investigators, a 12 year old we are teaching English to also came! Miracle
number 2. The activity was incredible. It was by a pretty river and some
mountains. It was so much fun, and our investigators had a great time! We
are excited to do more! Also, on Sunday we were going to an English
appointment and met another student that really wants to meet with us. YES!
Miracle number 3.
There have been so many other things that have happened, and I am so
grateful for Heavenly Father answering our prayers and guiding us to these
people. It is absolutely Him. I have found that if I pray as hard as I can
and fast and do everything I can, that is when the miracles really flow.
Our transfer meeting yesterday was wonderful, and it was so good to see the
other sisters from my MTC district. I have missed them SO much! It was
such a spiritual meeting, and was very fun.
One last thing. Our branch members are INCREDIBLE. We had a branch council
meeting on Sunday, and all the members were asking about and talking about
our investigators like they were their personal responsibility. It was
incredible. They have made plans to change things in the branch, to come to
English class, to do more activities and to be riend our investigators. They
are such good examples to me of service! I love them so much!
Anyway, this has been an incredible week. I am so grateful for all of the
blessings.
I love you all so much! You are wonderful examples!
