What a week! We've had everything from finding miracle less-actives and recent converts, being startled out of our sleep by the blaring fire alarms going off, to being "kidnapped" by scary church people.
First off- Sister Han and I are both staying in Shinjeong! It's kind of rare for a follow up training companionship to stay together, but it's happening! I am super excited, actually. It feels really good to just jump into the next transfer and hit the ground running. We have made a lot of plans and goals to do for this next transfer, and I am STOKED for the things we will be doing. We are pretty sure we are still the Sister Training Leaders (Sister Han is a little crushed-she was WORN OUT after all the exchanges last transfer) but we feel more ready this transfer.
Early Wednesday morning, around 2:30 am, I woke up to bright red flashing lights and a loud alarm. I woke up Sister Han and we grabbed our phone, tags, slipped on shoes and then ran downstairs to get out of the building. But when we got outside, no one else was there! We waited for a minute and then saw our landlord, who told us that he thought there is a mistake with one of the sensors. He turned it off and told us we could go back to sleep. But of course, (you all know me) I worried that Heavenly Father was trying to warn us of something and protect us. I kept thinking of CO, and checked our detector. Since Korea is all heated from gas and warm water under the floor, CO is something that our leaders have told us to really watch out for. Anyway, I couldn't really get back to sleep. Then the alarm went off again! We did the same thing and ran back downstairs and this time several other people were outside as well. They went with the landlord to check one of the floors, and we just ended up going back in and trying to sleep. Pathetically, I just found myself praying to know if we should leave in case of CO, or stay and just pleading that we would survive the night. It is super funny looking back now. Of course, being half asleep, I made everything a lot scarier than it really was. Anyway, we both survived and were just super tired the next day. ;) So pathetic.
Okay, I don't have a lot more time, so I will just summarize really quick. (We are going to Costco today.) I'll tell the church kidnapping story next time.
We have still been getting a lot of contacts and meeting a bunch of potential investigators every week! We almost have so many now that I can't keep anyone straight... We are doing a lot of contacting. We just need to get some really good investigators that can consistently meet!
I love you! I am sorry for the rushed email!
