HEY!
This has been an AWESOME week. There has been so much that has happened, but of course I'm not sure how to write much about it. Oops.
On Wednesday we did another exchange and I went to Gyeongju again, but this time with a sister a transfer older than me. It was a LOT of fun. We have a similar way of going about the work- especially with proselyting, and we went out and worked really hard. It felt so good to proselyte, just smile and laugh even when people rejected us, and then to move forward with more determination. We felt powerful. It had to be one of my favorite exchanges.
We met several other good people this week, and got some new investigators too. A bunch of our members invited us to meals as well, so we have been working on our new member programs with them. It's been good so far! Today for P-day as well, we went to a cute couple's house in the branch, and made apple pie with the wife. (She is pregnant and Filipino...ADORABLE.) After making the pie we all ate lunch together, but also with a friend of theirs that they invited. We were able to talk quite a bit with the friend, who told us that she studied a little bit about the church a while ago. Down for try #2? Anyway, they are awesome.
Lately as we have gone out and proselyted and have been doing big contacting sessions to try to get our potential investigators to meet, we've actually been able to make a ton of appointments. We aren't quite sure how we are going to be able to meet everyone and do everything we need to this next week. I guess that is a good thing, though!
Fun little happy moment: Yesterday as Sister Park and I leaving the church to start knocking on doors, we ran into the Stake President in Daegu, who is from the Gyeongsan branch. It was so cool to see him! He told me some of the things going on in Gyeongsan right now, and said that they have had a couple of baptisms lately. The members seem to be doing really good as well. I love those people. One year ago I was starting my first transfer in Gyeongsan! It has flown.
I have felt a lot of peace this week as we've been working and teaching. It's been just a little thing, but it makes a huge difference in the week. I love the simple joy of being able to share the gospel, the gleeful moments when we see someone start to follow Christ, and those cute old grandmas that smile at me and then hit me really hard on the arm when I say hi to them. I love these people.
I love you!!!
