Hey Family!!!
I'll take a pic of my schedule and send it to you. I should have done it earlier, sorry!
I knew all of the sisters in my district before hand, and chatted with them on Facebook. They are wonderfull!! I love them. They are all from Utah. The Sisters are going to Busan, and all the Elders are going to the states or Canada. We have a blast together and love to sing and eat together. Sister Allred and I are especially good friends with Elder Kang and Elder Miller (the Korean and the tall Elder that looks like Tristan). We do a lot together. We also are with the two actual Korean Elders quite a bit. I will send you a picture of all of us. One of the Elders, Elder Kim, has never been to the U.S. and is my favorite. He speaks English pretty well and is the epitome of Korean. I could seriously follow him around all day. He eats A LOT but doesn't really like any of the food. We love to feed him new things like Pop Rocks. Root Beer (which he says tasted like toothpaste) and Jello. He has the best reactions. What kind of toothpaste do they use in Korea???
I saw the picture of the T-shirt! OKAY it is the bomb. My companion saw it and said, "YES." Thanks Megan and Var and fam!
One thing about teaching in Korean is that we teach false doctrine. It is inevitable. The other day we taught one of our investigators that missionaries are paid money. I think our crowning statement that we told an investigator was that Adam and Eve had no children at first....because they ate them all. I just want to come back and volunteer after my mission so I can hear all the funny things the missionaries teach.
President and Sister Gilbert were just released which is kind of sad. We will still get to see them at the MTC though! I am glad I was able to spend time with them. Sister Gilbert always give me the biggest hugs and tells me with tears in her eyes how much they love Tristan. They are wonderful!
Yesterday I was able to host some new missionaries coming in! It was very sad at first, watching them say goodbye to their families. The curse of being a cry baby returned with full force. However it helped me quite a bit! I loved taking them around and being part of their first look at the MTC. I also feel that I am really starting to accomplish things. I grow closer to my Savior every day and I know that this is what He would have me do. The beauty of the Gospel surprises me every day. Heavenly Father truly created a plan of happiness. I know that our Savior understands us and is the Messiah. He lives and this IS His work. I feel so blessed to have a part in it.
Well, I don't have much time left, but the MTC is awesome! I love to be able to teach so often and to prepare to serve. I love you!
