HEY!
Shinjeong is a lot of fun. We really don't have any progressing investigators yet, so we are definitely focusing on finding. We try to talk to anyone we see, and as we've done that we have seen some good miracles. This next week has a lot more scheduled appointments, so hopefully we will be able to really teach this week. We have also been doing a lot with our members and have visited several already. They are wonderful members. They are so kind, and want to help us. On the first day, when we went to visit one sister with a busy family, we were just at her door when she came walking up the stairs. She saw us and immediately greeted us and said, "Sisters, you haven't eaten yet have you? I'm hungry. Let's go." She took us to a nice meat grill place. It was really good. Our members are all like that.
We have definitely had some interesting experiences this week. We went to a wedding party on Saturday! It was a lot of fun, and we also saw my old companion Sister Call (who just finished missionary work) and her parents while they tour Korea a little before going home. It was cool. I feel like I have been doing missionary work my whole life, and it is getting a little scary to think of doing anything else. Another super INSANE thing- my trainer, Sister Lee Handa, goes home after this transfer! I saw her at a mission leadership meeting last week for the first time in a while! It was wonderful, but sad too.
We met a woman on the street last night while we were walking around and proselyting, and when we introduced ourselves she said, "Are you the Church of Jesus Christ?" She told us she lives right next to our church and sees us a lot. We talked with her for a while, and after asking a lot of questions, she told us that she wants her son to meet with us and learn more about our church. She seemed really impressed, and gave us her contact. We are excited to meet with her and her son. We'll see!
We also were invited to a cute family's house last night for dinner. They invited another family over too- a recent convert sister and her husband who is not a member. It was a great opportunity. As we all just talked, gospel things came up smoothly and there were good opportunities to talk about it with the husband. The Spirit was there and it felt good. After leaving, the recent convert sister and her husband took us home. They are so cute! They have a new little baby.
Sister Han is AWESOME. We have a lot of fun together. She has such a good attitude and loves these members so much. I am SO STOKED to serve with her! We are going to see huge miracles here.
Oops. A little bit of a short email, but it was a wonderful week! I have learned a lot this week about how as we try to do everything we can to help the work, and every day try to be better, the Lord will consecrate our efforts. He loves these people. I love them too!
I love you!
